More Than Photos - It’s About Connection
As a recovering perfectionist with a touch of OCD, I always wanted my photos to be flawless. I carefully chose my kid’s outfits, planned shoots down to the most minute detail, and had bribery candy on standby. However, after years of shooting (and raising my kiddos), I realized that while those fine art photos are beautiful, they don’t always represent our life.
Today, I try to find a healthy balance between my need to adjust socks just so and capturing authentic smiles. And the great part is, I’ve learned to wear both hats – the artist and the storyteller because I value both authenticity and aesthetics.

When should I schedule a newborn photography session?
The best time to book a newborn session with Cream n Cocoa Photography is during pregnancy. We photograph newborns in their first 7–20 days for those sleepy, curled-up poses in our cozy Cincinnati-area studio.
Can I still book if my baby is already born?
es! While we recommend scheduling early, we do our best to accommodate last-minute newborn sessions in the Cincinnati and Dayton area whenever possible.
Do you photograph newborns with parents and siblings?
Absolutely. Family and sibling photos are included in every newborn session. We’ll start with those images, then focus on baby portraits while everyone else relaxes.
Where do your family sessions take place?
Family photography sessions are held in beautiful outdoor locations throughout Cincinnati, Dayton, and Northern Kentucky. We’ll help you choose a spot that fits your family’s style – urban, scenic, or somewhere in between.
What if my kids don’t cooperate during the session?

Senior photos are best scheduled in spring or summer before senior year. This allows plenty of time for multiple outfits, locations, and to meet your school’s yearbook deadlines.
Can I book a senior mini session?
Mini sessions are only available as part of a 2-session senior package, which is great for different seasons, outfits, or even sports and hobby shots.
Can I bring outfit ideas or props?
Yes! We love when seniors bring their style and personality into the shoot, whether that’s a guitar, sports jersey, or a favorite book.
What is a fine art photography session?
Fine art sessions are styled, intentional portrait experiences that result in painterly, heirloom-quality images. We use elegant wardrobe, studio lighting, and detailed retouching to create timeless photos.

Each image is retouched meticulously, often taking over an hour, so you receive only the very best, fully polished portraits.
