Since 2009, I’ve had the honor of photographing hundreds of families, individuals, and brands throughout Cincinnati, Dayton, and beyond. What is the difference between a regular session and a fine art session?
All of my sessions are thoughtfully executed, but the approach is different. Regular sessions are more spontaneous and lifestyle-driven, focusing on natural interactions and candid moments. Fine art sessions, on the other hand, are much more planned and styled. Every detail – from wardrobe to posing to lighting – is intentionally chosen to help bring a specific story or aesthetic to life. The editing process is also more in-depth, with each image receiving careful, artistic attention to highlight every detail.
Why do I get less photos with a fine art session?
Fine art portraits are all about quality over quantity. Each image is meticulously retouched – often taking up to an hour per photo – to create polished, gallery-worthy artwork. The goal isn’t to give you a ton of images, but to deliver a smaller, stunning collection that feels rich, intentional, and timeless.
