Cincinnati’s Family Photographer – Capturing Connection, Joy & Real Moments
As a recovering perfectionist, and family photographer in Cincinnati, I understand the assignment.
You want that one photo where everyone is looking at the camera, smiling brightly, hair cooperating, and no one being awkward.
We’ll get it.
But I’ve learned after years of photographing families that the image you fall in love with usually isn’t the perfectly posed one.
It’s the way your daughter leans into you.
The weird face your son makes when he laughs.
The way your family feels when you’re just being yourselves.
So yes, we’ll guide you into beautiful, frame-worthy portraits.
And then we’ll let the magic unfold.
No forced smiles. Just real connection, gentle direction, and enough structure to keep things moving without sucking the life out of the moment because you deserve photos that feel like your family NOT like you’re posting just for social media.

Now let’s talk about what the session actually feels like.
Because beautiful photos are one thing, but the experience of getting them? That’s what most parents worry about. You don’t need to have perfectly behaved kids. You don’t need to bribe them all the way there. You don’t need to stress about every detail. That’s my job.
After years of working with families, I’ve learned how to guide without forcing, how to keep things moving without rushing, and how to gently redirect when little personalities get overwhelmed. There’s a rhythm to it.
A little structure.
A little play.
A LOT of reading the room.
You’ll feel supported. Your kids will feel comfortable. AND, you won’t spend the entire session wondering if you’ll get a single usable shot.
My families come back year after year because they trust the process. They know I’ll lead when needed, step back when it matters, and create images that feel both polished and honest.
If you’re looking for a Cincinnati family photographer who can hold the calm while your family just shows up as they are, I’d love to work with you.
Family Photography Session Frequently Asked Questions
Family Photographer in Cincinnati and the Greater Dayton area.
Where do the sessions take place?
I photograph families all over Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and the Dayton area. Depending on the season (and your vibe), I’ll help you choose the perfect spot—whether you’re dreaming of golden fields, cool city streets, or something in between.
Do you photograph extended families?
Yes, absolutely! I love extended family sessions. We’ll capture the big group shot and break it down into smaller combinations, individual families, grandparents with grandkids, sibling groups, and more. I’ll guide you through every step to keep things smooth and organized.
I’m worried my kids won’t cooperate - can you help?
Totally normal concern, and I’ve got you. Before your session, please tell me about anything I should know: noise sensitivity, nap schedules, energy spikes (or crashes). We’ll plan your session around what works best for your crew. The more I know, the easier it is to make things feel relaxed, fun, and stress-free, even for the tiniest of tornadoes.
Do you only photograph families with young kids, or do you work with adult families too?
Great question, and absolutely, I photograph families of all ages!
As your Cincinnati area photographer, my goal is to create relaxed, meaningful sessions that reflect your unique family dynamic, whether that includes toddlers, teens, parents, grandparents, or all of the above.
So yes, if you’re an adult family looking for natural family photography in West Chester and the Greater Cincinnati and Dayton areas, you’re 100% in the right place.
