When’s the Best Time to Schedule My Senior’s Photos?
Believe it or not, the best time for a senior photography session is actually before senior year even starts. Most parents schedule their session in the spring or summer before senior year, and here’s why:
Once the school year kicks off, your teen’s calendar fills up fast with sports, jobs, clubs, senior events, and all the “lasts” they don’t want to miss. Scheduling a session in the middle of all that can be tricky.
Also, if you’re dreaming of gorgeous fall photos, keep in mind that sunset happens earlier, weekends book up quickly, and availability becomes limited. Planning and booking ahead gives you the best chance at ideal light and timing.
Another tip? Check with your school to find out the deadline for submitting yearbook photos. That date sneaks up faster than you think.
Can I schedule just one senior mini session?
Right now, senior mini sessions are only available as part of a 2-session package (or more). This setup is ideal for grads who want to capture multiple outfits, hairstyles or locations. Sometimes, there’s simply not the time to squeeze everything into one rushed session.
My senior has a vision, can we make it happen?
Yes, please! I love when seniors come with ideas. Whether it’s a special location, a favorite hobby, their horse, their dog, or something totally outside the box, we’ll collaborate to bring it to life.
